ATTENTION ALL ELECTRICAL
WORKERS!
Philadelphia Bill 060959 has been defeated! Click here to view: Bill #254 Click here to view or print: Bill #254.pdf * The biggest problem that we will be facing is the National Bill #HR 800 The union bosses are determined to pass the
Card Check Forced Unionism Bill. *Force working Americans to pay union dues under the threat of losing their jobs; *Dramatically increase the number of bitter strikes that shut down businesses and destroy jobs and ensure that even more plants are closed and more jobs are shipped overseas and lost forever; *Funnel hundreds of millions more forced-dues dollars to Big Labor to pump into the campaign coffers of their radical, tax-and-spend politicians like Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton. Big Labor's Card Check Forced Unionism Bill would greatly empower union bosses by allowing them to impose forced unionism through card checks automatically. Union-label Democrats have already shown their willingness to attach forced-unionism legislation to must-pass bills like appropriation bills and the creation of the Homeland Security Department. This bill provides the unions with a much stronger Upper Hand and ties your hands even more while the unions come into your shop and make efforts to close your businesses down. It also imposes stiffer penalties from the NLRB against the employer when the union intentionally salts your company with no intent to work for you but only to be able to bring about trumped up charges against you from the NLRB. A copy of the National Bill can be found at the link below: Click here to view: Bill# HR-800 Click here to view or print: Bill #HR 800.pdf Click here to link to Petitions Page The power that the local electrical union has accumulated over the years while we have stood by and watched has become enormous, this is only due to the fact that we (the majority) have allowed it to happen. It is now time to stop them in their tracks! It is obviously not enough for them to get all of the big work in the area, but that they want it all and they want us out of business. The time for a contractor saying "I am too busy to go down to City Hall and fight", "You have enough guys fighting against it to deal with it or "It doesn't effect my company, I don't do work in the city" is now over. Unless we all make a grand stand to show them that we are in fact the Electrical Industry and that the Union is nothing more than a greedy closed shop hiring facility for the few companies who have already caved in to the terroristic tactics, we might as well close our doors today. This political union push has nothing to do with paying fair wages or forcing us to register our Journeymen or Apprentices, it is a Political Power Grab by the Unions, they make up 20% of the electrical industries workforce, who do you think makes up the rest of the work force....you know, the ones who are quietly standing by while the unions continue to monopolize the electrical industry.
